To mark International Women’s Day, Dole was proud to sponsor “Ex-HER-cise @ DkIT,” an event dedicated to empowering and inspiring young women in sport.
The day kicked off with a boost of healthy energy as students enjoyed a fresh morning smoothie from the Dole Smoothie Trailer, setting a positive tone for a day focused on wellbeing and empowerment.
Hosted by Dundalk Institute of Technology, the programme aligned with Sport Ireland’s vision for Women in Sport by highlighting not only participation, but also the many career pathways available to women in coaching, leadership, officiating and governance.
Students began with discussions on the challenges young women face in sport, followed by an afternoon of interactive, hands‑on sessions exploring the world of exercise science at DkIT. The event offered an engaging look at both the opportunities and the exciting future of women’s sport.
