Students from George’s Hill Primary School in Dublin gathered at Dole’s corporate headquarters to pitch business ideas they had spent five weeks developing, as part of the Solas Project.
The Solas Project is a mentoring programme that helps young students build confidence and develop their business acumen. As a corporate partner to the Solas Project, Dole supports the programme by connecting employee volunteers with students for mentoring.
Over the past few weeks, a group of Dole colleagues have been working closely with students at George’s Hill Primary School to help them develop their ideas in preparation for a Dragon’s Den–style pitch.
On Wednesday 27 May, the students brought their ideas to life in the boardroom, where they delivered their pitches with infectious creativity and enthusiasm to a panel of judges.
It was an inspiring and rewarding day for both the students and the mentors from Dole.
Dole is deeply embedded in the communities it serves and is a proud supporter of programmes like the Solas Project that help young people across Ireland build confidence and ambition for the future.
